Principal Designer Jez Blacker has been at the forefront of lighting design for nearly three decades, creating innovative lighting solutions for traditional, progressive, and modern environments.

He began his career as an electrical contractor in London, England, where he led a team of 25 electricians providing design and installation services for residential and commercial properties—including work for the world-famous Harrods department store in central London.

After settling on California’s Central Coast with his family, Jez dedicated himself fully to lighting design, working with the most innovative products available today. His portfolio now spans a wide range of global projects, with a strong and growing client base throughout the United States.

As Design Director at ILLUM, Jez personally oversees every project from concept to completion. In addition, ILLUM now supplies lighting fixtures through REGENCY SUPPLY, providing streamlined procurement and support for all project needs.
